Prelude 1 in C Major

The Prelude in C Major, BWV 846, is the first prelude from the first book of Johann Sebastian Bach‘s The Well-Tempered Clavier.

This is by far the simplest of preludes. It is easy to read and has no technical difficulty in terms of rhythm. It is however difficult to memorize by heart because it is the same pattern that repeats in each measure but on different chords. Even though it is in C major, it contains many alterations.
It is therefore affordable for a beginner who is capable of reading sheet music with alterations, but it takes years to be able to interpret it well and give it life.
