Lesson 1 - Right Hand Melody
In this first lesson, we’ll learn the iconic melody of Hymne à l’amour with your right hand — one note at a time. You’ll get clear fingering guidance, phrasing tips, and a simple technique to anticipate notes so your playing flows smoothly. This is the foundation of the piece, and we’ll build it together step by step.
Note: In the video, you’ll hear me say D♯ or sometimes E flat, but on the sheet music it's written as Eâ™. These are enharmonic equivalents — they sound the same, but are written differently. In this piece, D♯ is the more accurate name based on the harmony. Don’t worry too much about the difference for now — just play the correct key!
